Robberies at Evansville computer store under investigation

Evansville computer store robberies are being investigated

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) In Evansville, police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a computer store last week.

They are looking for two suspects who robbed the Computers Plus store just near North Burkhardt.

Computers Plus managers in Evansville say they had several thousand dollars worth of items stolen from their store on the 4th of July weekend, just weeks after they were robbed last season. .

“A lot of things they can get in about 45 seconds,” GM Justin Parrish said.

Surveillance video from the store showed two people entering through the front door, using the heavy object then removing $ 15,000 to $ 20,000 worth of items from the interior displays.

“It took, almost, all of our computer demos to two full counters,” Parrish said.

The suspects put some stolen items in the sacks and tried to run while holding the others. Parrish says the new theft occurred about two months after the same one, with a similar amount taken. He added that there were times when it was done by the same people.

“It was very shocking. I know it happened one day we were on vacation, so we brought that back

Tuesday, the pieces were removed. it’s business as usual now, thank you, but we’re very surprised that it’s happening again, and in such a way, ”he said.

Parrish said the store has been able to replace at least some of the items and is working on others. He added that people should look for anyone who might try to sell items that could have been taken from their store in any incident.

Parrish also said they have stepped up security measures since they were robbed for the first time and plan to add more in the future.
