Blue light can also interfere with the activity of melanocytes. This can lead to uneven and excessive pigmentation. In addition, it can contribute to photoaging, or aging of the skin caused by light waves.
Another effect that blue light can have on our skin is that it can weaken the outermost layer of our skin and delay its recovery from daily skin stresses.

How Can We Protect Our Skin From Blue Light?
There are many ways to protect our skin from blue light. Some are as follows:
1. You can use a very good broad-spectrum SPF
Since digital screens emit blue light, it is best to use sunscreen. Even if you stay indoors, you can wear sunscreen to prevent any possible damage to your skin from the blue light coming from your phone and computer.
2. You can use skin care products that are full of antioxidants
Choose skin care products that are full of antioxidants. A stronger skin barrier helps reduce the harmful effects of blue light. Antioxidants protect the skin. It slows down the production of free radicals that damage our skin cells.
3. You can put a blue light screen protector
To reduce harmful rays from digital devices, it is advisable to use a blue light screen protector. This transparent sheet serves as a screen barrier. It protects you from the blue light emitted by the screen.
4. You can switch to night mode
It is best to switch your screen settings to night mode, at night. It disables the blue light and turns the yellow light on instead. This can reduce eye strain and prevent skin aging.
