FDLE arrests man in Panama City for using computer to seduce, solicit or seduce a child
June 24, 2022
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – FDLE agents and officers from the Panama City Beach Police Department (PCBPD) arrested Brian Aric Hodges, 36, of Panama City on a count of using a computer to seduce, solicit or entice a child and a count of unlawful use of a two-way communications device, both crimes.
Hodges was arrested today after a joint undercover operation initiated by the PCBPD in May. The goal of the operation is to identify offenders who target minors for the purpose of sexual solicitation and/or solicitation.
On May 18, Hodges began text communications with an FDLE agent he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. The texts contain obscene and sexual material.
Investigators say Hodges intended to meet the “woman” to have sex. Based on the investigation, FDLE agents pushed for a warrant of arrest.
Hodges was booked into the Bay County Jail and the case will be filed with the Office of the State Attorney, 14.th Judicial Circuit.
